BIRDS OF A FEATHER NATURE CAMP
Join Mr. “C” and his wife Kristin for their summer
Hike & Exploration Program
Now in its 8th year!

HIKE & EXPLORE YOUR REGIONAL BACKYARD…
Our beginner’s birding and nature exploration program will take campers to local nature sights, including preserves and shore areas, where they will learn about the variety of Long Island wildlife and their habitats .(Hike time approximately 1 ½ hours)

MAKE YOUR OWN FIELD GUIDE TO LONG ISLAND PARKS…
Each day, after our hike, we will return to the Neighborhood House in Setauket to begin discussing and preparing our own field guides to Long Island parks and work on a craft project relating to the natural world.

CELEBRATE THE SIGHTS & SOUNDS OF NATURE’S WONDERS…
Time will also be set aside for one of Mr. “C’s” special Music & Storytelling sessions, including stories relating to the theme of nature’s wonders.

Program is offered by certified elementary teacher, Johnny Cuomo, ( Mr. “C”)  who is an avid bird watcher and nature enthusiast, professional  musician & storyteller and published author of a children’s book. The program offers a chance to combine nature observations with creative art and music.
